The recent report from the Resolution Foundation, stating that up to a third of young people face living in private rented accommodation all their lives, is a startling reminder of the issues our housing market is experiencing today.
In addition to an increase in the number of affordable homes being built in the UK, the Resolution Foundation called for better protection of tenants in the private rented sector. Whilst the report’s findings are concerning, they’re addressing a number of key issues facing our housing market that we’re looking to challenge.
A guiding principle for us at Apartments for London is creating affordable and good quality homes in London. In order to counteract the existing lack of regulation for the private rented sector and enable our tenants to save for their futures, our apartments will be available for rent, at a discounted rate.
With London’s population set to rise by 13 million by 2030, we’re committed to doing our bit for the capital and supporting the wave of new city makers. Our first homes will be announced in the coming months. Keep an eye on our website and LinkedIn for more.
